Seeking shelter in San Cristobal de las Casas from May 16 to 28

Hi all...

Some plans fell through and we are suddenly in need of a place to stay from these dates. Just a simple place, minimal needs. Ideally, given the length of stay, we don't want to have to pay nightly at a hotel. If anyone's got something, please text me at 1-734-904-6668, as we will be without internet access for most of the week. Thanks in advance...

The posadas are cheap. A friend of mine pays 100 pesos a day cheaper than most rental s per week. Look up and down Ejercito Nacional and ask for a price per week or for 2 weeks. It is clean, has bathroom with hot and cold water and a small tv.
Her place is off Insurgentes around the street that has the bakery at the corner of Insurgentes or the next one in the bus station direction.
Hotel Buen Samaritano has good prices too , at the corner of Eje 1 and the boulevard.
There are lots of cheap hostels, posadas etc in town and May is a slow time.

found one of the names of a cheap posada not too far from the plaza:
Posada Fundacion 967 678 2430. Ask for a deal for 2 weeks.
