Hey Guys,
We're making the same trip in September. We're winging
it pretty much with the help of this book
"Traveler's Guide to Mexican Camping" by
Mike & Terri Church.
Very helpful book and includes a suggested itinerary
along the lines of what you are doing.
This site is also good
http://users.adelphia.net/~roving/welcome%20to%20mexico.htm
Drop in and see us in Puerto Morelos (near Cancun)
We're taking over the bookstore there.
Hasta Luego
Rob
: Has anyone made this trip? RV park suggestions, recommendations of routes. Planning 6 week trip. Thanks

We go down to the Yucatan (Akumal, QRoo) every winter, last year we drove with our RV. I second the advice to get Mike and Terri Church's book, it's the bible for RV'ers in Mexico. It worked great for us. ("Traveler's Guide to Mexican Camping" by Mike & Terri Church) It's available at Amazon and on their web site - http://www.rollinghomes.com
We crossed at Pharr and drove down the east coast, the book gives pretty good directions to the bypasses for most of the big cities. We couldn't have made it around Vera Cruz as easily without it, the signs weren't good. Depending on the size of your RV, it can be a problem going into some towns and cities. Most of their info on RV parking is up to date and good.
Have fun,
Jonna

: Has anyone made this trip? RV park suggestions, recommendations of routes. Planning 6 week trip. Thanks

Been to your store a number of times. We are from Mn and winter in Punta Bete, 15 min. south of you. I've got quite a library going myself, maybe 500 books. Stop in and visit sometime.
