Between Kelowna and the Mexican border RV parks aren't much of a problem. On the main roads and most of the secondary ones you can't drive 30 minutes without running into one. Even in the northern states in the winter, there are enough of them open that you can easily find a place to stay on the main highways. On the Interstate highways there are information signs alerting you to their presence.<p>Your best chance for avoiding snow, if you're doing this in the winter, is to go through Eastern Washington and Oregon and then Nevada. Even so, it's better to have flexibility to travel when the weather is good. Trailers dangerous when the roads are icy. You probably already know this, but it's better to say too much than too little.<p>For Mexico, there is only one good reference, Traveler's Guide to Mexican Camping by Church and Church.
