Questions on Mexican tires...

Can't Post |
Hello: I need to purchase a new set of tires before we leave on vacation for Oregon, with a long stopover in Chihuahua to take in the Copper Canyon. Here in Arandas I can purchase Goodyear, General & Euzkadi that I know of.
In the past, I have read Mexican tires being of inferior quality to other nations tires. How can this be true?
Anyway, anyone with any relevant experience or information, feel free to post. Thanks in advance, Randy

How could they possibly be inferior to Firestone?
I don't see any difference. My Euzkadi's are holding up as well as any others.
If you have enough tread to get to the states you can save something on the price.
: Hello: I need to purchase a new set of tires before we leave on vacation for Oregon, with a long stopover in Chihuahua to take in the Copper Canyon. Randy, if you'd been out

on any of the northbound roads when I flew by last week I'd have let you check out my Euzkadis. They're holding up fine and I've had no problems at all. I tried to buy a new set of Kelley's in the US about 3 years ago and 3 of the 5 they tried were so out of round that they were unusable. Nothing is perfect on either side of the border.
The roads were all good so you shouldn't be too concerned. The Mexican tires should be fine. I was also surprised to see so few indications of truck re-treads letting loose on the roads. They must all be getting better at both production and re-capping.
Have a good trip.
