A member of my family is flying to Puerto Vallarta later this year, and expects to take a taxi from the airport to Punta Mita. Is it easy to get a cab at the airport to go there? Is the fare negotiable or fixed, and has anyone an idea of how much the fare will probably be?

There are 2 booths where you can purchase your tickets for these taxis and the rates are posted. Punta de Mita is a long haul and I would guess about 200pesos.

You can get a city taxi on the highway. Negotiate your price before leaving. I don't know what the price should be, but it will be much less than taking an airport taxi.
