Puerto Escondido/Retiring

We are planning on retiring in Puerto Escondido. Would like to take our 1995 Jeep and we have a very well trained dog. Does anyone have info on a train that allows you to put your car on and ride from CA to Acapulco? Any and all info or advice anyone has would be greatly appreciated. My wife speaks Spanish, so we do have a plus for us. Thanks

except for a few tourist routes. The drive will really not be all that bad if you plan it ... and don't drive at night.
