: How common. prevelant is the use of radar to catch people speeding in Mexico? <p>I have seen a few signs on the Puebla to Oaxaca cuota road and also the Mexico City to Cuernavaca advertising the use of radar detectors. I have noticed these more often that speed limits posted on these same roads. However, no one that I know has ever been ticked (or had to bribe) after having been caught speeding. The Federal Police Force is looking for reckless drivers, not speeding drivers, but that does not prevent them from enforcing speed limits.
