I went online Tuesday afternoon and 'ordered' a temporary vehicle permit for my upcoming winter trip.
It arrived in 2 days..... Thursday afternoon before 3PM..... by DHL Express in northern Colorado!
A lot has changed over the years within the Mexican bureaucracy but IMO Banjercito has got their act together with this program.
BTW, this vehicle had an old (2007) TIP removed at the border on Sept. 16th, so those border computers must be well connected. I could not have obtained another TIP if the previous one had not been 'cleared'.
