Non-registered motorcyle into Mexico

I am thinking of buying an older Honda 550 motorcyle that is in California with no plates and no registration for several years. I have a pickup truck in which I can take it across the border, in parts, if necessary. I have an FM-3. What will be required, if anything? I plan to register it in Mexico and leave it there. The price is right.<p><p>
