Mex with 2 names on vehicle title

Hey. Just wondering whether there would be any issues entering Mexico with a vehicle title that has multiple names on it- but only one of those named would be in the vehicle. All papers and permits would go into that 1 drivers name. Need some sort of statement from other person listed on title granting permission... or? Thanks in advance!

We have 2 names on each of our 2 car titles. Each one was imported by 1 of the title holders. No questions were asked about the other title holders at the time.
So unless there is a type of title that is John Doe AND Jane Smith, I don't think there will be aqny problem.

We had to re-title our truck into 1 name in order to enter Mexico. Unfortunately, it depends a lot on the official that you get at the border.

I actually placed 3 names on my US car title and registration so that under my FM3, both my daughter and wife are considered legal drivers. No issues with window stickers or anything else.

Unfortunately, it depends a lot on the official that you get at the border.

Mexico is not too keen on husband and wife (etc) joint ownership, so the caution above is so true. (No way can one get a truly joint personal bank account down here. Only one person can be the "titular.")
