Mazda Dealers

We are going to be driving a late-model Mazda minivan to Puerto Vallarta in September. We will be living there permanently, so service on the van could be a concern. Are there any Mazda dealerships in Jalisco? We understand that Mexican mechanics are the best, but parts could be an issue. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

I've never seen any Mazda dealers in Mexico, but you may want to check to see if you are really driving a "Mazda".
My Mazda B4000 is really a Ford Ranger, built in a Ford assembly plant of Ford parts.
I understand that the Mazda Tribute is also a Ford, built in Ford plants of Ford parts.
It may be that you'll be further ahead locating a Ford dealership.

There are no Mazda dealers in Mexico. You might see some old Mazda pickup trucks, but they were brought in under a nationalization program.
The only models of Japanese cars sold here in Mexico are Honda, Nissan + Infiniti and Toyota (but only the Camry and Corolla for now). Mitsubishi will come to Mexico next year (it is not even sold in Canada).
As far as Korean car makers, Hyundai plans to sell more of its line in the following year, along with Kia.
The real problem in selling cars here is having a production base within Mexico or getting a special licensing agreement with an existing company.
