ANYWHERE, querido.
For example, can one get a better deal
by waiting till almost the last minute
to purchase a ticket?
Or does it make no difference.
Or, any special websites or agencies or
aitlines where yu might have found the
better/best deals?
Stuff like that.
I am experiementing with waiting till
almost date of planned departure and
see if I can get a better deal?
I have more time than money for airfares.
Would rather spend my bucks IN the
country than getting TO the country
(Mexico naturalmente)

: From where to where?
: : How have you had the best luck getting

If you have some flexibility on your dates of travel, or can travel at the last minute, both Mexicana http://www.mexicana.com.mx and United http://www.united.com.mx do offer some special fares.

Lav;
It makes a lot of difference as to where you are and where you want to go.
NYC to DF
Chicago to DF
Miami to DF
SFO to Cabo
All easy routes and very competitive.
Bozeman, MT to Oaxaca
Not easy and not competitive.
Now, where do you want to go and from where?

From DFW - BJX prefrably.
BUT I am very flexible- if it
were a better deal, would fly LAX
to Guad, or whatEVER.
The longest-seeming haul to me is
to get from Dallas to the interior.
Once I have arrived at SLP or anywhere
south of there, I feel like I am home!
Thanks for your patience with me.
: Lav;
: It makes a lot of difference as to where you are and where you want to go.
: NYC to DF

:
I just booked tickets for Jan 03 travel on Expedia.
CJS TO MLM ONE WAY $140.00 tax included.
This is a special fare on Aerolineas Internacional and is only available through the use of an American Express card.

Try www.bestfares.com. They often really DO have the best fares...far better than Expedia or Travelocity or or or...

Here is what I ended up doing Flying there

Can't Post |
I got quotes everywhre I could, using
different key words in mega search engines.
(http://www.dogpile.com is my search engine
of choice.)
I finally waited and bid on priceline.com.
It had hinted to NOT bid under $179. I
bid $200. for round trip DFW to BJX or MEX.
Either one acceptable.
They counted offered $350 but reminded me
that there could be over $110 in extra fees.
So I rejected it.
I finally looked on American last nite for fare
sales.
DFW to Guad is $206 but to go and come back
next week only.
I hope to stay close to a month.
So AA had a flight rt to DF for $351 and to BJX
for $361. Ended up taking the BJX fare for
this coming week. It was indicating that I
could only get a flight for a date at LEAST
seven days in advance, no closer to departure
date.
Could this be a security issue?
I surely wish I could figure out the rhyme
and reason to all this, although I am
beginning to believe that there IS no such
thing as rhyme or reason to airfares!
Lavanda

: How have you had the best luck getting
: the best flight for your buck?
: Any tips/recommendations will be
: appreciated.
: Thanks, Lav
