FMT and Tecate crossing on a Sunday, banks closed

Can't Post | Private Reply
We will be crossing into Mexico in Tecate on our way to laPaz and beyond. We will be doing this on a Sunday. This means the banks will be closed. When we get our FMT at the border we need to pay our fee at a bank. How does this work when all banks are closed. Can we pay the next day in San Felipe. I have been having a hard time figuring this out. Sending e-mails to any and all agencies in Mexico have been unsanswered.

Thanks for your help, KP

Yes, you can pay the next day or when you get to LaPaz.

Not exactly sure of the time period they give you to pay the fee but even after all of our well documented problems at the border - we paid ours 10 days after we crossed. We have never received any grief about when we paid it so long as it was paid!
