Would someone have a suggestion on a nice motel in Durango? We are bussing from Nuevo Laredo to Mazatlan and stopping for 2 days in Durango
,,,We found a "Best Western" on the web for US $48 a nite but would prefer either a more Mexican motel or B&B . Thank you. PS. nice place to eat there also ?<p>

:We did this route in February by car and when I get a chance I will post a trip report. Stayed at the Best Western you mentioned and it was quite nice. The motor motel is actually situated within a very nice courtyard and has a definite Mexican feel. Across the courtyard, and surrounding the clean rooms,is a restaurant that we had dinner and breakfast. It's very convenient especially when your just there overnight.

I was just in Durango in December of 2001. We stayed at the Hotel Posada San Jorge, which is right in the heart of downtown. I think it is on Constitucion, about two blocks behind the cathedral. Very reasonable for such a nice place. Free breakfast buffet. Secure parking, if needed. Check out their website at http://www.hotelposadasanjorge.com.mx
