I will be visitng Puerto Vallarta in February and would like to rent a jeep and drive to these three mountain towns and spend a night at each one. Any suggestions? Especially best route to drive? Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Thanks in advance for any ideas! <p>Did the trip in July best route is thru Las Palmas. You have to go thru the Sierras and is not for the faint of heart. I drove a 2002 Ford Expedition and was doing the trip in the dark, so it was hairy but fun. You'll enjoy it. However, spending the night on San Sebastian and Mascota maybe a bit to much as these are very little towns. You may want to see these towns during the day and spend the night in Talpa de Allende, get the Rompope is a really good, but don't drive while drinking this local poison. Hope this helps.

It will be an interesting opportunity. Especially since I am an inexperienced traveler.
