Distrito Federal, i.e. Mexico City.
In a similar way to how the capital of the US was set up as Washington, D.C. (District of Columbia) to have it separate from the surrounding states, the capital here is the Distrito Federal (D.F.) because it is a separate political entity from the State of Mexico which surrounds it.
