Crossing Border North at Eagle Pass (Piedras Negras)

Can't Post | Private Reply
I am considering exiting Mexico at Eagle Pass and have not gone out that way previously. I will need to turn in my FM-T and temporary vehicle permit. Can anyone give me an idea 'where' I might do these things? I think I once read that one would do this south of Piedras Negras around Allende. Any help on this and any other words of wisdom about using this crossing?

Went through that border last year on our way down and yes, Allende is the town where the border customs is located. Usually going out is easier than going in so it should not take long. We were the only people being processed in the half hour we were there last year. Buena Suerte!

As stated already. Do your checkout at Allende. I have never encountered lines there. You will see a small white shack. Drive your car up there and they will cancel your car permit. Then go inside the gray building and turn in your FMT. Get your passport stamped at the same time that you turn in your FMT.

Thanks to the both of you for confirming Allende as the point.... right down to the color of the buildings! Gotta love it.

Gracias
