Can you get your car papers at the Columbia Bridge near Laredo or do you have to go back to Nuevo Laredo and get them?

You can get your vehicle permits and tourist passes at Columbia, but there are no casa de cambios or auto insurance agents there. Unlike the N. Laredo crossing, it is not open all night, but I don't know what the hours are exactly - perhaps 7 AM to 10 PM?
I normally always get my papers here since it is usually much less crowded. However, I took a bunch of people to Mexico in April and decided, in the interest of time, to try the new crossing facility at N. Laredo (this is the third building they have been in since I have been going to Mexico). We entered about 2:00 PM on a Saturday, and it was a breeze, if you succeed in following the signs to it. Very helpful staff, and even a kiosk with an English speaking attendant who ask if we needed help! We got 11 tourist permits and 3 vehicle permits in about an hour.
For the return into the U.S., I still use Columbia - it's those long lines of vehicles at the N. Laredo bridges that make me nervous.
By the way, when turning in your vehicle permit, the guy uses a little hand scanner to scan the permit before removing it, and it spits out a cancelation. Very high tech!
Good luck
: Can you get your car papers at the Columbia Bridge near Laredo or do you have to go back to Nuevo Laredo and get them?
