Bob,
My wife and I know this route very well, as we have travelled it every year back and forth for the last 5 years from Mn. We own a small hotel just south of Cancun by Playa del Carmen. The route from Brownsville to Cancun takes 3 days at 500 miles a day. There is no problem with the size of your motor home but you might want to by pass Veracruz and take the autopista (toll road) as far as Villahermosa. Sanborns insurance in Brownsville used to offer a good road atlas for this trip. We highly recommend it. I recommend when you get to Escarsega (last day) you take the southern route to Chetumal.
