Driving to Taxco and then over to join the autopista to Oaxaca (Puebla). Have heard that there is a route that by-passes Mexico City to the south. Any suggestions.
Thanks

I absolutely don't understand your question. Would you please spell it out more plainly.
What is Oaxaca (Puebla)?
Do you want to bypass DF on the way to Taxco or between there and Oaxaca (Puebla)?
The maps make it pretty clear where the roads go. Is there something I'm missing?
: Driving to Taxco and then over to join the autopista to Oaxaca (Puebla). Have heard that there is a route that by-passes Mexico City to the south. Any suggestions.

: Thanks
Also putting Oaxaca and Puebla together makes no sense.
If you're approaching Mexico City from the north (Queretaro )and you are trying to bypass the city on your way to Taxco. You do and you don't bypass, you're still right in the middle of metropolitan big city all around but you'll travel along a faster toll road on the west side of the periferico heading south. Look for the signs saying Cuernavaca Cuota. If you want to avoid the big enchilada altogether go to Toluca then Cuernavaca and Taxco. It's a long drive over narrow roads with some surfaces not that good, but very scenic, it will eventually get you to Cuernavaca vía Lagunas de Cempoala and Tres Marias.

Your question is a bit vague... If the object is to get to Oaxaca by the most direct route then use the western D.F. perferico and off to Puebla and Oaxaca.
If you want to go to Taxco first, use the Toluca-Ixtapan de la Sal toll road, then you can work your way over and around to the Puebla tollroad.... but you are adding at least a whole day to your trip, maybe more!
The road through Tres Marias and Lago Zempoala is REALLY SLOW MOUNTAIN roads, I once knew three working girls who hired a taxi to take them from Cuernavaca to Toluca 5 nights a week, then wait for them to return in the early dawn... that is some commute!

Yes, just before Queretaro there is a hwy to Iztapan de la Sal, which leads to Cuernavaca and Taxco. Sections of it are expensive toll roads. Its a nice drive, thru national parks teeming with tall pines. Have fun!

Sorry for the confusion. I know where I want to go but didn't explain it clearly.
I will be in Taxco and want to get over to join the autopista to Oaxaca. I heard that you can by-pass Mexico City to the south and join the autopista around Puebla. The maps show several roads. Which are the best and fastest. Thanks for your help.: I absolutely don't understand your question.
