Hi,<p>I am thinking about buying a car in mexico and drive it to costa rica, selling it there before leaving.<p>Can anybody tell me if it is possible for a foreigner to buy a car in mexico ? is there much hassle with beaurocrazy ? What will I have to pay, which paperwork do I need ? And finally where can I buy the best cars and will they be cheaper than in the US ?<p>Greetings

Car prices and taxes in Mexico vary from more to a lot more than you'd pay in the USA for the same car. You'd be way ahead to buy in the US, then drive it across Mexico to Costa Rica.<p>I don't know the law in CR regarding selling a foreign car, but I do know you couldn't sell it in Mexico. I'd be surprised if it's legal in CR.
