Best beaches to visit in late August/early September

We're needing a Mexican coastal experience and can only get away in late summer. We would greatly appreciate suggestions of places to go that are tranquil and have good access to restaurants and a town. We stayed in Huatulco and Troncones and loved it, as well as La Manzanilla and Barra de Navidad, and Puerto Vallarta. We may have a car, but prefer to use local transportation.

You didn't say where you're coming from. If you're mid or east US/Can I'd say go to Cancun, rent a car and drive as far south as you need to in order to find what you're seeking. If you're in the western part then check out Sayulita.
