Banjercito changes procedure for online vehicle permits

This is Banjercito's website for online application for a vehicle permit.
The first panel allows you to select your preferred language.
If you select English, a second panel will present additional options. Select Americano.
After wadding through a bunch of tedium, you will "sign" your name agreeing to follow the rules.
Along the way, you will be required to fill out an INM form. If it comes up in Spanish, click on the British flag in the upper left corner. Later the Banjercito application will ask for the file number generated by this INM form.
There is an explanation of what to do with this INM form when you cross the border.

Thank you, Rolly, for that link. This should speed up the process of getting across the border when driving into Mexico.

Curious that INM now wants to know your religion - and it's a required field!

I wonder what the choices are for 'religion'? Is 'None' allowed?

"No religion (atheistic)" is an option.

When we had to fill out the last census forms, "ninguna" was the word the census taker chose to use.

An atheist (atéo) is very different from someone who professes no religion. As bournemouth said, 'Ninguna' is the preferred option.

The religion question also appears on the Formato Básico form.
