Travel and On the Road - need to be in the same group

Can't Post |
They look the same to the newbies and Travel is first seen on the list. Travel is becoming border crossing and how do I get there from here.

I find that Travel and On the Road are kind of interchangable. Maybe they could remain two forums if there was better explanation of which kind of messages go on each forum, maybe examples. They should also be right next to each other on the index page, to facilitate the compare and contrast, or just merge them.

The difference between Travel and On the Road forums...

Excellent point, and as you will see, your suggestion has led to both forums now appearing in the same section. Thanks!

While there is inevitably some overlap, postings to the "On The Road" forum generally deal with the "nuts and bolts" of moving from place A to place B - hence, bus routes, border formalities, highway conditions etc. all belong in this forum.

On the other hand, after you've taken advantage of all those excellent "routing" tips in the On The Road forum, posts in the "Travel" Forum" generally focus more on the locations / destinations / attractions of the places once you've got there!

Wherever you go, have a great trip, and don't forget to post a report of your trip highlights on the appropriate forum when you get the chance. After all, it's your contributions that make these Forums the best in Mexico!
