Shortcut

"Shortcut" question: what do they do, where do they go?

Hi, although I fancy myself a pretty savvy Web navigator, I haven't figured out what the "shortcut" links do, located to the left side of the Forum pages.
I'm sure that someone here can enlighten me. Many thanks.

(I want to add, that when I click it, it just leads me back to the same post.)

The shortcut button copies the URL of the post you are looking at. This makes it easy to include that URL in some other post or document.

For example, I clicked shortcut while reading your post, and then pasted it here.

Thanks, Rolly. I never thought of that. I just use (select/highlight) right click, Copy.
