Retiring To Patzcuaro

We are newbies to Mexico Connect and are enjoying the variety of information and views expressed on this site. Its also nice to know the number of people who share similar ideas at this point in our lives. After 31 years of being a high school art teacher, my husband having spent most of his working years in marketing and management, we are going to retire to Mexico. He is from Mexico City, has been in the US 10 years, and is a citizen. We have visited several cities and done some research on various areas. This past summer we visited Morelia and Patzcuaro and fell in love with the area. We would be interested in exchanging information with other retirees or anyone who has visited those areas and could give us detailed information.

Someone with more info should reply to this, but....

Settle in Morelia. Patzcuaro is only about a hour away, and in Morelia you will have many more services, activities, etc. that will make your life easier. Also, Patzcuaro is too cold in the winter!!
