Member Profiles and friend request

Can't Post | Private Reply
I thought I was starting to get the hang of the forum, but now I need a little help, please. Someone sent me a "friend request" and I accepted. But what does a friend request mean? I can't seem to find him or see his profile. Maybe I am thinking of another forum where one can view the profiles of all members, and your friends list.

Also, how does one add the "smilies" that I see on many messages? I saw a link that Rolly posted quite some time ago, but it did not work for me.

We don't have 'friend's requests" in our system, unless something has been added while I slept... so it must have been related to a different site.
You can view a member's profile, by clicking on that member's name in a Forum post (or under "Who's online" above forum pages.)
Someone else will have to respond to your icon question since I hardly ever use them and never know where to find them either.

Thanks, Rolly. And to Tony: I realized that it was another forum that has "friend requests".
