Hi MarthaAnn...I am new to Mexico Connect also. I have looked into some of the forums, but this is the first time I am posting a message myself. So...we'll see what happens.

Good to hear from new PATI - do tell me do you live in Mexico now ?

Johanson, I have ventured over to the KITCHEN forum, I love cooking, so, it was only natural for me to end up in the KITCHEN.

MarthaAnn also sent a welcome...I appreciate it. No, I don't live in Mexico, but I could probably be tempted easily. I've a good friend who lived half of every year in Chiapas for many years, and she absolutely loved it! I'm going to Oaxaca for a writers' retreat in a couple of weeks, which is a new place for me.

Hello all, I too was just wanting to test the water and see if I could post. I joined about a week ago and I have been able to learn about so much in this short time. What a fascinating site! We have a home in Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco that my mother had built a number of years ago, my wife and I travel there about twice a year. We are new to traveling in Mexico and we feel the more we can learn about the country and its road systems the more enjoyable our trips will be. That's why we joined and we are glad we did.
