I have been researching buying a vehicle SOB (vs. NOB) - thank you Esperanza and others for your posts! - and have 2 more questions:

1. Choices in 4X4 vehicles seem to be limited (from my research of MX Nissan and Toyota websites) - am I deluded?

2. If we buy SOB, do we need an FM3 in order to get Mexican plates, or can that be done on a Tourist visa?

Check out the June Issue of www.mexico-insights.com which has an indepth article about buying a car SOB and has a link to various auto dealers. I noticed that some of the vehicles, like the Toyota Highlandeer was not in the MX Toyota inventory. On the other hand Nissan had a very nice smaller SUV that isn't included in the US inventory.
