Skier 14I wanted to reply to your post on the front license plate fiasco in tonala but the thread was locked,I shop at one of the 2 walmarts in Tonala on a regular basis so your actions affect me,how could possibly pay this low life transito 3500 pesos for a petty infraction? Did you just fall off a turnip truck or what? You should have called his bluff which is what it was, gotten his name and reported him,by not doing so it cost you 3500 and made life more difficult for the rest of us because they think we are all clueless suckers. When I get pulled over for no good reason they don't even get a chesco out of me.
Chris

And when they have a good reason?

Skier14 was pulled over for a minor traffic violation. Then the cop found a more serious violation that could have resulted in having his vehicle impounded. And there were extenuating circumstances here such as age and health problems at play.

Walk a mile, amigo, before you criticize.

Las placas que porten los vehículos serán las que expidan las Autoridades
correspondientes; en caso de falsificación de placas de circulación, el vehículo que las porte será
retirado de la circulación, dándose vista al Ministerio Público

i feel for the person that went through this ordeal.... bottom line is that i can guarantee this transito was not being nice to him and probably using foul language and very loud...... its easy to post what one would do in this situation, its another when your being comfronted by someone that has a gun on his belt and a badge

I don´t know what part of Mexico you are living but to say a Transito was very loud and using foul language would be a first in any area I have been. In fact, that type of situation is pretty much unheard of in anywhere Mexico, barring too much tequila.
And the fact he was breaking a federal law really leaves him at a huge disadvantage. It seemed like an expensive lesson, maybe it was and maybe it wasn´t.
