can anyone help me - I am about to apply for naturalisation in Mexico having lived here now for many years and gone thru all the FM's and Residency - what do I do and what do I expect - is it difficult and worth doing. regards Wyn

If you are applying under the residency category, you will have to have lived in Mexico as an FM-2 or inmigrado for at least five years. FM-3 years do not count as residency years. See the link above for application prerequisites. You may apply either in the D.F. or at the SRE delegacion where you reside. Once your application has been accepted, you will be notified of the time and place for administration of the test, which appears to change every six months.
