My wife says that she could understand English better if I spoke it more slowly. "Its the same as when you were first learning Spanish" she says, "you wouldn't understand and were constantly changing the words I spoke (siempre cambiaba la palabra)". I told her, "Listen to what you just said and imagine how that sounds to an untrained ear : cambiabalapalabra, is that Zulu or what?, try saying that three times fast!" so she's been teasing me all morning, showing me that she CAN say it 3 times fast.
