Can anyone suggest a website where I can find current classifieds in English for apartments for rent in PV or nearby?
Also, what would be a "good" neighborhood for a single, older person? It doesn't have to be in the center of town. Any indications of current prices for one or two bedroom apts. would be most appreciated!

Head for JR's neighborhood. Use the bridge closest to the bay and walk to the second street after you cross. Turn left at that street and walk down a couple of blocks until you get to the big grocery store which will be on your left. Go in and look for the HUUNORMOUS bulletin board on the wall by the check-out counters.
It's been a couple of years since I looked but they used to have dozens of listings by individuals offering low cost housing of all sorts. Maybe JR can tell you if it's still there.

: Can anyone suggest a website where I can find current classifieds in English for apartments for rent in PV or nearby?
: Also, what would be a "good" neighborhood for a single, older person? Looked at an apartment this morning, 2nd floor on the corner of Naranjo and Aquiles Serdan. Large, really large 2 bedrooms unfurnished with a wrap around balcony, kinda small bathroom but adequate. 2,000 pesos

Also here's a classifieds link but most people advertising are looking for vacationers, but occasionally there are ads for long term. Prices can start at around 2,000 pesos, if you're lucky

Hard to find anything reasonable on the web.. Best place to look when in PV are the coffee shops board in old town. There are usually lots of reasonable rentals listed. the other riliable way in all of Mexico is to walk the neighborhoods and check out the "for rent" signs. Few reasonable rentals will be offered by RE agents or in the paper. Let you feet find the apartment the old fashoned way.. hope this helps....
