Mexico’s Customs Law Updated to Allow Temporary Residents to Have TIP Cars The new Ley Aduanera for 2013 seems to have formally resolved the problems of foreigners in Mexico on Temporary Resident visas (Residente Temporal Tarjetas) having foreign plated cars, harmonizing the Ley Aduanera with the 2011 Ley de Imigración and Nov. 2012 INM Lineamientos. Foreigners here on Visitante and all Residente Temporal permits are formally allowed to have temporarily imported cars - which seems to eliminate the stipulation that previously prohibited lucrativo (working) INM Temporary Resident permit holders from having and operating TIP cars. All Residente Temporals are treated the same, under this new, re-written Article 106. Happy Trails, steve - Read-on MacDuff E-visit at http://yucalandia.com
