Three Days in Chihuahua and Adios to all!

Can't Post |
Hello: I will not be able to continue on this forum when it goes to pay in the future. I have too much going on in the real world with my family, friends and work to even log on to the internet at all! Besides, whatever I need to know I can just ask my extended family or friends.

Hopefully, we will be moving back to Arandas in the los Altos region of Jalisco in the future from where we live now in Aguascalientes. We really miss the green countryside and friendliness of the folks there.

Recently took my Jeep back to the USA to sell, and spent three incredible days exploring the unbelievable beauty of the state of Chihuahua. The mix of Tarahumara, Mennonite and mainstream Mexican cultures co-existing side by side was amazing. My wife and I got to drive through the Sierra Tarahumara, Copper Canyons and the Madera region for the first time. Keith, you have really got a beautiful area there to call home!

So, I guess this is adios to all my MexCon friends. I know some of you may not miss my opinions on life as I see it in Mexico, but thats OK too. I don't want to leave anyone out, so here is a blanket goodbye and good luck to all those who helped me on my way from a newbie three years ago to someone who really has learned a bunch in my two years living in Mexico!

Gee. Sorry you will no longer be here. I am sorry $30 per year or $2.50 per month is too much for you to donate to the cause. But I understand and respect your opinion. I wish you the best of luck. I hope you will visit us in the future.

Randy,
As a very long time poster I have seen alot of people
come and go. You and I have crossed swords on
many occasions. I have to say that it seems you
caught something in Mexico. Was it the bad water? dirty air? You appear to have come to respect
Mexico for what she is - a big change from when you first started
posting. I think you have learned first hand how a
different culture isn't bad, only different.
My Prediction: You'll be back, tony

From near your home of La Grande ...

Take care and stay in touch. The last post that I responded to that you offered had to do with raising a family, the private school vs. public school dilema and what being a good parent is all about.

Sounds as if you are getting serious about your trek and that Mexico has offered her many lessons and beautiful disposition.

Good luck to you and yours ... hope to see you on up the road.

Let me just clarify...

Hello: I should say that the $30 wasn't really the issue. The issue is that I just don't have the time now to do this like I would. But you never know, due to the outpouring of niceness, who knows, maybe I will just find that $300 pesos and pay up...

See you later??

once my subscription to another on-line magazine runs out,i may be persuaded to come back-but just saying the word nice ain't going to cut it-certain moderators in your employ are actually going to have to take the word "nice" to heart-well actually the word "objective"would be more appropriate-"nice" really doesn't matter to me.

perhaps if they can't stand the heat in the kitchen-you can direct them to another one.

oh! and it was good chatting with you randy-good luck!and did you ever get any interior shots of any of those mennonite homes?
