Social Security direct depost

Can't Post |
Has anyone yet had a direct deposit in a Mexican bank from Social Secuirty? It was supposed to be available as of November, but I see nothing on the SS website. Gracias!

Check the site below. They list the countries where you can make direct deposits into a bank and Mexico is one of the countries listed.

My reading of that is you have to be a citizen of Mexico, not a resident, to get your check for more than six months.

If you are a U.S. citizen, you may receive your Social Security payments outside the U.S. as long as you are eligible for them. Direct Social Security deposit is NOT limited to those who are Mexican citizens.

Also, since you are out of the United States do they withhold taxes from 85% of your social security? At what rate I wonder.
