I recently read that Oriental rugs and antiques are not permitted to be taken into Mexico. Does anyone know if this is accurate, and if so, what might be the underlying reason for such a regulation? It seems to me that I have seen many oriental rugs and antiques from Europe and the U.S. in Mexico, and wondered how all those things got there.
