Returning with FM3

Can't Post |
Hi, I currently am back in Canada for a short time and can't figure out the FM3 process. (thx for answering my prev post on time limits) Anyway, I understood that my FM3 was stamped as I left Mexico but there is no stamp. I read a warning somewhere else that Migracion is very strict with this? Did someone forrget to stamp my FM3 if so is it a problem? It is the first time I've gone back and forth.

Your FM-3 should be stamped upon your departure from Mexico, but the lack of a stamp isn't fatal. It'll be stamped upon your re-entry into the country. Don't sweat it.

There is an INM form, called F.M.E Para Extranjeros, that a departing FM-2, -3, -6 or -9 person is supposed to fill out and have stamped by the INM. They keep the original and give you the carbon to be turned in upon your return. I once left without doing this form. Nothing was said upon my return. Don't worry.

A while back, it was reported on this forum that if you make a land crossing, they don't bother with the form or stamps. I don't have any person experience with land crossings.
