Without a doubt the scuzziest place in Veracruz. You must have to work there.

I admit we only drove through Tuxpan once and were there maybe 2 hours, but it seemed like a nice place to me. We missed the bypass one year and just went on into Tuxpan. We got lost, drove around some neighborhoods for awhile, eventually stopped some local police and got an escort through the construction of a new highway and over the bridge to the road out of town. Before that, we stopped and had lunch and we did spend quite some time driving around trying to find our way out.

There were some very nice neighborhoods, lots of work in progress upgrading roads, many parks, looked like a nice, mid-size mexican city.

If you still want some info on this, email me. I got some phone numbers out of the phone book while I was down there last week.
