I don't live in Mexico, but I've spent a fair amount of time in a bunch of different places, so I feel somewhat qualified to answer this. Also, I live in Florida. I am a hot weather person myself (as it seems you are,) and I'm more sensitive than most about minor weather changes. First off, remember that the sun is much more intense in Mexico than it is in most of the states. In the summer, 80 degrees in Guadalajara feels hotter than 80 degrees in Chicago (in my opinion) due to the sun. Humidity is also a factor. 85 in Vallarta, for example feels WAY hotter than 85 in Guadalajara. Take averages with a grain of salt. In general, the coast is hot and humid. The farther inland you go and the higher in altitude you go, the cooler it usually gets. But, in my experience, even places like Zacatecas (elevation 8,000) feel pretty warm in the summer due to the intensity of the sun and relatively scarce cloud cover. When I was in Guadalajara for a month and a half in June, for example, it was cloudy about three of those days and it rained once. It was pretty nice!!
