Picking up the PR card

Hello all,

Quick question for those who already have their PR card. I have done all of the process to change my status from FM-2 to the PR based on the fact that I am married to a Mexican.

Last week I went for the fingerprints part and was told to check online and when I am told to come in, do so between the hours of 4 and 6pm. Apparently everyone who is picking up their new credentials can do so only between those hours.

I checked the site on Monday and it said "Presentarse en una oficina del INM." I am assuming that this means the PR card is ready? I always received the above message when I would go to get my FM-2's and I wasn't sure if there is a different type of message when the PR card is ready or if it always says "Presentarse en una oficina del INM?"

Also, anyone picking up their PR cards soon, remember...between the hours of 4 and 6 pm ONLY. When I did the fingerprints last week, the guy told me those times but I just forgot and went early this morning. I didn't feel like waiting all day so I am going back tomorrow about an hour or two before 4pm.

Thanks.

That may be true at your local INM delegacíon, but in Morelia, we were able to pick up our PRs at 11 a.m. Each office has its own procedure, as always.

Also, in our situation, we were notified by email that our cards were ready.

Thanks for the info! I have never been notified by email. Always been told to check the website. And that is what they told me last week. Check the INM site and come in when it says to. I guess every office does have their own procedures.
