By car or by airline? We have done both. Go to the library of past threads to learn a lot about both. However you bring them here, first thing is to arrange the vet's health papers for each, updated just before you leave. By airline, each of you is entitled to have one pet travel in the cabin with you, under the seat in front of you. The sherpa bag will fit, the plastic pet carriers won't. When you get your airline ticket, also reserve room for each pet, as the airlines allow only a certain number of pets per cabin. And check with your vet about a slight sedative for your exciteable puppy. We had no problems at all, showed the papers at immigration, got a green light at customs and were on our way. By car there are no problems either (Please Jennifer, tell about some of your experiences coming across the border!!) You just don't say anything about the little guys when checking into your motels on the way, and going into Mexico is easy, they usually just say, "What cute little pets" and don't ask for the papers, but you MUST have them in case. I was hyper about getting the animals on the plane, so went to the airport counter with them a few days before the flight to reconfirm their and our bookings and pay the extra for them. Stood in line and when we got to the counter, the airline person said, "Ooooh they're so cute, I'm only going to charge you for one!" and she did only charge us for one, not two. Hope you have as good luck as we did.
