Moving Household Goods from US to Mexico

We are in the process of planning our move from Atlanta, GA to San Miguel de Allende to reside full time in Mexico. Are there any advantages/disadvantages to organizing the movement of household goods in Mexico and having the Mexican shipper arrange for the US portion vs. doing it the other way?
