Mexico is in Winter 2011 Vogue Knitting

It was a thrill recently to be interviewed by Vogue Knitting for an article on Mexico.... the issue hit the stands yesterday... and I see they quoted me and used a picture I took in Oaxaca, too!

Here's my blog post on the article with a couple of screen shots:

Thanks so much! I am so passionate about Mexican textiles, and yarns - well, all handcrafts, really... and the picture they used is a very favorite of mine... aren't those colors gorgeous?

Saludos!

Congratulations!

I got into knitting as a way to use my handspun yarn. I totally want to go check out that wheel the young man in the picture is using!!! Looks like I had better plan a trip to Oaxaca!

Let's go! We can leave from here in Catemaco and head that way. My bags are packed. I may have to add some warmer clothes.

LOL @ Sunny! I thought I was a bad influence! It may be dangerous for the two of us to get together. By the time we're through looking at new places we may be in Antarctica!

Several people commented on my blog that they'd love to do a knitting tour of Oaxaca... hmmmm, could be an opportunity for someone?
