Life in Patzcuaro.....feedback????

My wife and I are curious about living in Patzcuaro....Cultural events...cost of living...availability of housing...any other observation you may wish to share.

My wife and I visited recently and it looked like a wonderful place..we were on our way to Morelia from Zacapu (a quiet town that looks promising because its location...although a little dull). Although Zacapu has grown exponentially from the time I remember it.....Patzcuare appears not to have changed much...is this a correct assumption? Eating at places did not seem particularly expensive, but how about housing ?

It has been a few years now but I was impressed by the unspoiled quality

Possibly explained by the lack of industrial development

Depending on your requirements I think you can find a very reasonably price house for rent
