I want Bubba for president on 2012

I came across Bubba's brilliant comment regarding our banking and financial indusries' stinky practice on his 2005's thread while I was surfing old threads to do my research project for my retirement. There is no doubt if he had held the chair of Greenspan's position instead of early retirement and fleeing to Mexico we wouldn't have this economic disaster. Damn it, I didn't print the thread and couldn't find it again. I truely believe Bubba deserves Nobel peace and economy prize, both.
I spent 25 hrs to find the thread but no avail. If you happen to read this, would you please to find me the thread, our future Mr. president.

I doubt there is a teleprompter made that could handle the length of Bubba's long winder diatribes on the banking industry and the home spun stories from the Alabama days!

In my opinion Bubba would've done a much better job than "no bubble maybe just a little froth" Greenspan. He sure would not have done as much harm.

The good thing about that housing bubble is I bought my last home before it started and sold it just before it popped. It is really amazing how much money I was paid to live in that house for eight years. It really helped secure my early retirement.

My last two homes were bought in areas following base closures when the areas were economically depressed then sold when they recovered. Both times I bought those homes with the intention of remaining there for my golden years. Those base closures happened at several year intervals, staggered so that they would not cause a nationwide depression.

The first of those homes gained so much equity in just a few short years that it just seemed right to sell it in order to move up to a nicer home when another area I liked had become depressed and had a glut in its housing market with many people having to leave the area to follow their jobs. I bought the second house dirt cheap at the end of the 90's but by 2006 the price had skyrocketed and I had just built a vacation home in Mexico.

Having had experience with bubble gum I was getting nervous about living in that quite expensive home by then. People were screaming about the state of the economy and my work was looking for volunteers to take an incentive bonus to retire early. Always eager to help out and volunteer for new assignments I put my name in the hat and found myself pensioned about two months later. Not being greedy I put my home up for a very good quick-sale price and it sold in a few weeks.

Those people running government and finances at that time may be taking a lot of flack now but all their policies were so transparent and for my part intuitive I have been rather delighted with the job they did for me. Three cheers!!!
