INM has changed the URL of the application form

The mental giants at INM have changed the URL of the FM2 and FM3 application webpage without warning or redirecting.

This is the new URL.

If you want to check on the progress of your application,
you'll need to use this new URL.

When these links stop working, please let me know, so I can go off on another treasure hunt. Ugh!

Gah! I just renewed my FM2. Apparently INM expects us to navigate from the home page. At least my office just gave me the main URL (inm.gob.mx) and said I'd find everything there, so that's what I did. The URLS you just gave are the ones in my history, so they've been there for at least a couple of weeks.

While we're doing this, this page has the link to the online form for paying at the bank. Scroll down to Hoya de Ayuda (e5cinco). The mystery numbers fill themselves in as you select the menu options, but the trick is selecting the correct menu options. My office didn't give me a payment form, so I used this, and they said that's what I was supposed to do. It doesn't send anything to INM, just produces the form so you can print it. Maybe some offices still do them for you.

I had that payment form link on my website with instructions on how to use it. Then the INM changed some of the numbers, again without warning. I got an e-mail for an unhappy fellow saying he had followed the instructions on my website, printed the form, and paid his fee only to be told at the INM office that he had used the wrong account number, so he would have to pay again. The bank refused to refund his first payment.

I took that link and instructions off my website. I don't want to be responsible for anyone getting screwed because the INM keeps changing things. If you want to use the link Morgaine listed, take the form to the INM office to verify that it is correct before you pay.

Yikes! Good advice to get verification. I helped a friend do hers, and thanks to your post, we took it to INM this morning before she paid at the bank. It was correct, but if it hadn't been and she'd paid, I'd have felt responsible, too.

Feel free to delete my post if you think it best, Rolly.

No delete. This is a good conversation to warn folks to be careful when dealing with the INM online.
Hell, be careful when dealing with the INM in any way.

Nevertheless, in my warped mind, a bad day at INM is still better than a good day at IMSS.

YMMV, I hope.
