Hitchhiking in Mexico.

Is this a reasonable way to travel? (To save money on bus fare) I want to go several places and my funds are very limited. Every bit helps.

If you don't have enough for bus fare, I wouldn't do it. However, I've seen people ride bicycles from one end of Mexico to the other. Hitchhiking on autopistas could be illegal. Short hops may be alright. Males only. "When you ain't got nuthin, you got nuthin to lose" As usual, be careful. I used to hitchhike from the Ferry terminal in La Paz to La Paz....or the other way around....there was a good snorkelling beach out past the terminal. Secluded and no people......that was about 10 years ago.
