I met two state employed university trained agricultural professionals in Papantla, Veracruz. They were trying to unify the vanilla farmers, teach ways of guarding the vanilla farming techniques and ways to develope a better and maybe branded world market. They were very quality focused. We talked about what a strong need there is to be doing something similar for the gulf coffee growers. The need is enormous. It would be a work of love; but you would meet some wonder people, among them many musicians. If you like music and magic you will have a great time. If you can get those farmers get more than 5 cents a pound for their coffee you will be invited for tamalitos everywhere you turn. Solve the grassroots farm market problem in Mexico while preserving the farmer and you ought to be nominated for the Nobel Prize in Economics. If you are young and have got dreams, make sure you pursue them. Who would want to face their grandkids and tell them they didn't have any dreams when they were young......that they were old when they were young.
