Health Certificate/Letter for FM3

Can't Post |
I am going to apply for FM3 in Cancun. What EXACTLY is the wording needed in Health Certificate/Letter? My Dr. in Florida doesn't know exactly what he has to write in the letter. I want to bring it to Cancun worded correct so I don't have a problem.

Who said you need a health certificate? I have not heard of that requirement. Why don't you get your FM3 in the USA before moving to Mexico? That way you have ample opportunity to get all the necessary papers without any confusion or omissions.

If you are applying in Cancun and they ask for a Health Certificate, they are likely to insist that it is a Certificate from a medical exam performed in Mexico. So, IF (that's a BIG IF, because a health certificate is not usually on the list of requirements), IF they ask for this, then ask them where the certificate has to come from...

Some Mexican Consulates required the health certificate, as well as the certificate of moral solvency (police record); some don't. INAMI required the health certificate long, long ago, but it is no longer a requirement.

Where the health certificate is required, it amounts to a letter from a physician, on the physician's stationery, stating that th applicant is free of any contagious diseases. The doctor's signature must then be notarized.
